FUTURE FITNESS CLUB
Future Fitness Club provides young people, ages 8-13, the opportunity to be active and learn healthy fitness habits.Non-competitive activities include obstacle courses, relays, circuit training, rope jumping, swimming and a variety of fun games.
The Future Fitness Club meets 3 times per week for 8 weeks. The cost is only $15 per month.

Session Dates: August 30,2010 - October 22, 2010

Collaborative Partnership Between YSU & The J

The J is proud to announce a new and exciting joint project with Youngstown State University.  We have partnered with YSU’s College of Fine and Performing Arts to present The Jewish Community Center Cultural Arts Series.  The collaboration will bring a series of exciting musical performances to the J as well as some wonderful art exhibitions.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the entire JCC and North Side Community  to enjoy the sensational talent that’s found at YSU in a relaxed and easy to access facility.

Handel’s Ice Cream Presents HeyKid-Palooza!
This event is a fun, family fundraiser.  The J is hosting a children’s concert with all proceeds to benefit the local Relay for Life.  Come join the fun as Hey Kid! performs its original, kid friendly music.  The group will play songs that will capture your child’s imagination with titles such as “Pirate the Pirate” and “The Bubblegumball Kid.”  Refreshments will be available for purchase and kids can also enjoy temporary tattoos, pumpkin painting and face painting.  Hey Kid! will also sell their CD after the concert.  So grab the kids because you won’t want to miss this fun filled event!  And remember, all proceeds benefit the local Relay for Life.

Eat...Shop...Schmooze
Come join us for an afternoon of fun, food, and shopping at the J.  Dozens of vendors will fill the gymnasium for this third annual event.  Choose from jewelry, home furnishing and accessories, clothing, skin care, floral designs and many more unique items.  And don’t forget your appetite because this year we will also have food vendors on hand.  Don’t miss out on this fun-filled afternoon of eating and shopping.

Chiseled
This is a unique class that utilizes barbells, steps and rubberized plate weights. Chiseled will choreograph basic free weight exercises with dynamic music. These classes are low Impact and high energy.  The focus of these classes is on explosive full body movements and gradual progression to more challenging exercises.

Tuesday/Thursday 9:00-9:55am & 5:30-6:25pm
Session 1: August 31-September 28
(no class September 9 & 30)
Session 2: October 5-28
Session 3: November 2-25
Session 4: December 7-30
$25/session for members
$35/session for non-members
Each group is considered a separate paid session.
