While so many nursing homes have struggled with tragic losses, we have not had one case of COVID among our residents since the start of the pandemic.
Currently, we can take care of 72 residents. However, we only have 42 private rooms. This pandemic has shown that shared living spaces are a grave detriment to necessary infection control. Therefore, we are building a new wing that will include:
Once the wing is complete we plan to move on to privatizing the shared rooms in the existing building and expanding short term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. We also plan to create enhanced hospice care options.
UPDATE June 16, 2021 - No further staff or resident COVID-19 cases have been identified as of 6/16/21. We have to conduct two more rounds of staff testing and one additional round of resident testing to complete outbreak testing requirements. If no further cases are found we will resume visitation on 6/23/21. Vaccinated residents are still permitted to leave the building in the meantime, without having to quarantine upon their return. Please continue to check our website for updates in the coming days.
