Visitation Updates

UPDATE: November 17, 2021

Dear Heritage Manor Residents and Family,

We have received new guidance on visitation from CMS. Visitation will now be allowed at all times with no prior scheduling requirement. Visitors must still adhere to the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention at all times while in the facility. This includes social distancing, wearing face coverings, and practicing good hand hygiene. There are now no limits on the number of visitors permitted at one time, but all visitors must be able to social distance from each other/resident during a visit. Visitors must still go directly to the resident’s room they are visiting and maintain social distance from all other residents/staff. The county transmission level plays a major factor on how visits are to be conducted (social distancing and masking requirements). Please read the “Interim COVID-19 Visitation” policy here. You are responsible to know and follow the rules of this policy.

Visits are now permitted during an outbreak, please see the below excerpt from the CMS memo:

“While it is safer for visitors not to enter the facility during an outbreak investigation, visitors must still be allowed in the facility. Visitors should be made aware of the potential risk of visiting during an outbreak investigation and adhere to the core principles of infection prevention. If residents or their representative would like to have a visit during an outbreak investigation, they should wear face coverings or masks during visits, regardless of vaccination status, and visits should ideally occur in the resident’s room.”

These visits are very high risk; we ask you to consider all risk factors prior to coming into the facility.

Outside food may be brought into the facility for visits in the front boardroom. If you plan on bringing food in for your visit you must reserve the boardroom ahead of time with the front desk. Only one visit can be conducted in this area at one time. Outside food will not be permitted in any other areas of the building.

COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots are available weekly for staff, residents, and resident family members. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are all available. If you have interest in receiving a vaccine please contact me.

Please continue to check our website and Facebook for information. With the new information we are presented with every day this is the best way to communicate in a timely manner.

Sincerely,

Shane Baldwin, LNHA
Director of Operations

 UPDATE: August 24, 2021

Dear Heritage Manor Residents and Family,

The CDC has released new guidance for vaccinated persons in response to the COVID-19 Delta variant. The entire updated guidance can be found here.

Due to our resident population’s susceptibility to COVID-19, we will now require masks to be worn for all visits if the transmission levels are rated substantial or high for Trumbull or Mahoning County (regardless of vaccination status for the resident or visitor). We will check the transmission status for both counties weekly on the CDC website. Should the transmission rate fall below the substantial level, masks will not be required for vaccinated persons. The county transmission rate will be posted in the front lobby of Heritage Manor.

As of 8/24/21 Mahoning County has a transmission rating of High, so masks must be worn at this time.

Our county positivity rate has now risen above the 5% mark where eye protection is required for visits.

We will update everyone when the county positivity rate falls below the 5% and eye protection is no longer needed. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

Please continue to check our website and Facebook for updates. With the new information we are presented with everyday this is the best way to communicate in a timely manner.

Sincerely,

Shane Baldwin, LNHA
Director of Operations
