Children of Israel Cemetery

B'nai Israel or Congregation Children of Israel was formed in 1883. Services were first held on W. Federal Street. The first shule was built at 235 Summit Avenue. The building was sold in 1959 after a fire destroyed most of it, and the congregation moved to the corner of Fifth and Alameda Avenues. The congregation now shares space with Temple El Emeth on Logan Way in Liberty Township.

The Children of Israel cemetery is located on Granada Avenue, which was originally known as Ludwick Road. The property is fenced and a chapel is on the grounds.
