Volunteer
We invite you to participate in hands-on volunteer experiences that impact the life of someone in need, in our Jewish and the general community, in Israel and abroad. All Youngstown Area Jewish Federation agencies have volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. Please check the volunteer opportunities below.

Volunteer Opportunities
- Suzi Solomon Golf Outing
- 10 to 15 volunteers needed. Help with setup, registration, and work on holes. Three to four hour commitment.
- Purim Carnival
- Multiple volunteers needed throughout the Purim Carnival.
Jewish Family & Community Services
- Passover & Rosh Hashanah Baskets - Volunteers needed to pass out about 15 baskets for both Passover and Rosh Hashanah.
- Two to five volunteers needed. Four hour shifts each day.
- Aging Well Programs - Volunteers needed to help Coordinate speakers with Outreach Coordinator, Nicole Balog-Bickerstaff.
- Two to four volunteers needed.
- Tech Tuesdays - Volunteers needed to help attendees with learning technology.
- Four to Five Akiva Academy/National Honor Society students. One hour shifts twice per month.
- Outreach - Volunteers needed to help visit seniors in the community that JFCS keeps in regular contact with.
- Four to five volunteers. One hour shifts once to two times per month.
Jewish Community Relations Council
- Mitzvah Day
- 30 - 60 volunteers needed for the day. Shifts will be in four hour increments.
- Voter Registration - Volunteers will register people to vote at both the outdoor drive through and indoor table registration stations.
- 30 volunteers needed for the day. Shifts will be in four hour increments.
Senior Living by Youngstown Area Jewish Federation
- Weekly Activities – Volunteers are needed to help with weekly activities at each agency.
- Three to five volunteers needed. Shifts will be one to two hours long on weekends.
- JMeals Food Drive Through
- Five to 10 volunteers needed. Help package and distribute meals during drive throughs. Two to three hour commitment.
