The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation recently celebrated the hanging of a mezuzah at the entrance of the newly renovated Schwartz Holocaust and Antisemitism Resource Center, located within the Jewish Community Center.

Temple El Emeth hosted Mayor Derrick McDowell at a Synagogue dinner recently. McDowell spoke about his vision for the city of Youngstown’s future.

Temple El Emeth recently honored its office manager, Nancy Sanders, at a Shabbat service and luncheon for her 30 years of devoted service to El Emeth. Tributes were given by Rabbi Seth Sternstein, President Jeffrey Marlin, and Past President Sam Roth, who read a message to Nancy from Dr. Howard Kramer who was president of El Emeth when Sanders became office manager.
