The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation recently joined other Jewish organizations around the country to provide winter wear to asylum seekers. Organized by the Phoenix JCRC, the goal was to provide coats, gloves, hats, and other articles of clothing to individuals seeking refuge in the U.S., many coming with only the clothes on their backs.

“We in Youngstown know the importance of a winter coat, so we were happy to be a part of this wonderful cause again this year,” said Nic Bush, Federation Development & Community Relations Manager. “Thanks to our generous community, we donated twenty coats, ten hats, and hundreds of pairs of socks to those in need.”
