How It Works
JMeals are available through private pay or through a variety of grant funded programs for individuals age 60 and over. To determine if you may be eligible to receive meals through a grant funded program, or if you can use SNAP benefits to pay for your meals, please contact Direction Home of Eastern Ohio at 330.505.2300.
Private Pay Participants
Once a month, participants can order meals by calling or by returning a completed menu form via mail. There is a five meal minimum for private pay participants. If you do not choose your meals, or if meal choice forms are not returned by X, you will receive the standard menu. Frozen meals will be delivered weekly on the same day each week. Someone must be home to receive meals, or a cooler may be left outside your residence.
Grant Funded Participants
Each month, participants will receive a menu of meals you can expect to receive each week. Reasonable substitutions may be made for dietary restrictions by calling at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery. Frozen meals will be delivered weekly on the same day each week. Someone must be present to receive meals, or they will be placed on hold.
