Frequently-Asked Questions

 

  • Are JMeals kosher? Most of our meals are prepared “kosher style,” meaning that we do not serve pork, shellfish, or meat and dairy together in the same dish. Fully kosher meals prepared in the kosher kitchen at Heritage Manor are available upon request.
  • What day/time will I get my meals? When you sign up, you will be placed on a route based on location. Once your route is set, you should expect to receive meals on the same day each week, however the time meals arrive may change based on the order of the route each day. Your driver will call when they are on the way to your home.
  • What if I’m not going to be home on my delivery day? If you cannot be home on your scheduled delivery day please call X at least 24 hours in advance to place your meals on hold. Please note that repeated missed deliveries without notice may impact your eligibility for the program. 
  • How do I prepare the frozen meals? Each meal will come with a list of ingredients and instructions. In general, we recommend placing the covered containers in a 300 degree oven and baking 30-40 minutes or until it reaches 165 degrees. Please do NOT place foil pans in the microwave.
  • What if my address or phone number changes?  It is very important to have correct phone and address information on file for our delivery drivers. If you need to change any of your personal information, please call X to ensure there is no interruption in service.
