Classrooms Without Borders Reunion
Come hear about this transformative trip from the participating teachers from the 2025 Classrooms Without Borders trip. The teachers will share their thoughts on this experiential trip, and how they believe it will impact their teaching in the future. There will also be opportunities to speak with the teachers about their experience and to speak with past participants on how the experience changed how they teach.
At the end of June, the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation sent four local teachers on the Classrooms Without Borders trip to Poland with a Holocaust Survivor. The two week trip immersed participants in the history and culture of the Holocaust. The four teachers, Brian Bugos (Newton Falls High School), Christen Jones (West Middlesex Area School District), Ryan Kish (Campbell City School District) and Jodi West (Akiva Academy) had an amazing and transformative experience, which will provide them with the means to enrich classroom learning in the future.
