Gift to fund look at Jewish youth programs

The New Castle News published an article that discussed Jewish historical preservation and continuation through the medium of projects, programs, and collaboration with other organizations. The New Castle News reported: "The Jewish Community Legacy Project aims to help small Jewish congregations map out their futures. Now, it’s looking to dip into the past as part of that effort. The JCLP, in tandem with the Rauh Jewish History Program and Archives (both part of Pittsburgh’s Heinz History Center), is looking to create a program that presents a 'historical account of communitywide efforts to engage Jewish children in small towns throughout Western Pennsylvania between 1900 and 1970,' in the hope that it may 'serve as a source of ideas for present-day Jewish educators.'"

Defunct synagogue’s endowment fund makes four grants
