Before the main event, join us at 6:00 p.m. for a fun reception with heavy appetizers, a cash bar, and live acoustic sounds by Stellare Strings. The annual meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. The cost of the pre-party is $10/person.

Resort casual attire is encouraged. Please note, this will be an adults-only event and swimming will not be permitted. Babysitting is available at the JCC during this event and must be reserved in advance.

In the case of inclement weather, arrangements will be sent to attendees via email.

Stellare Strings is a locally based string performance organization that is composed of the region's top string players and offers easy access to live string performances. Stellare Strings has performed in various settings such as weddings, corporate events, church services, galas, recitals, and concerts in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Akron and here in Youngstown. The string players of Stellare Strings offer a range of styled performances, ranging from classical, to rock, to jazz, and to folk. Tonight, their music will feature songs by famous Jewish artists.

The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation voting membership (2024 campaign donors who are members of the Jewish community and present in person or via Zoom at the meeting) will vote on the nominating committee’s selections for the Youngstown Area Jewish Community Board.

Voting Membership:
Terms ending in 2028: Michael Barr and Lee Burdman
The amended and restated Code of Regulations of the Youngstown Area Jewish Community Board allows for the submission of alternate nominees. Alternative submissions must be presented to Alice Franklin, Chair of the Nominating Committee, with a minimum of 25 signatures of Voting Members per alternative nomination by August 10.

Awards will be presented as follows:

Esther Marks Memorial Volunteer Service Award - Nancy Wagner

Abe Harshman Leadership Award - Howard Sniderman

Marvin & Sara Itts Community Service Award - Paul and Yetta Gluck

Suzi Kooperman Youth Leadership Award - Doron Sigler

A new award, Ally of the Year, will be presented to Pastor Juan Rivera.
